Microblading

Naturally Enhanced Brows

Long and Lasting Elegance

Experience the art of microblading at Cambridge Brow Sanctuary. Tailored to your unique features, this treatment creates natural looking, fine hair strokes that mimic your own, reducing the time spent applying make up in the morning.

Your brows are perfectly mapped to compliment your unique facial features and designed together to achieve your desired shape and colour.

This is the perfect treatment for those that lack definition, have sparse brows and want to enjoy long-lasting, effortless brows that blend seamlessly with your natural beauty.

Your Personalised Experience

Your microblading journey begins with an in-depth consultation. We take the time to understand your style, facial structure and brow goals.

We then map and design your bespoke brow shape together. This is the most important stage whereby your custom shape is pre-drawn to create perfect symmetry.

Pigments are then carefully selected to harmonise with your natural hair colour and skin tone. Our expertly crafted microblading technique ensures each stroke mimics the flow and depth of real brow hairs, for results that are naturally realistic and undetectable.

We pride ourselves on creating brows that enhance, rather than overpower your unique beauty.

Comfort and Care

Our licensed and insured sanctuary ensures that your comfort is our priority. From the soothing ambiance of our salon, a sumptuous heated treatment bed, extensive years of spa knowledge and experience, every detail is designed to put you at ease. Gentle methods and premium-grade tools and pigments are used to ensure a relaxing experience, removing the worry often associated with semi-permanent treatments.

Aftercare and Support

Your experience doesn’t end when you leave our sanctuary. We provide expert aftercare advice and support to ensure your brows heal beautifully and maintain their fresh, natural appearance.

The same ‘top up’ procedure is carried out 5 - 8 weeks later (at no extra cost) to further define your brows to ensure you are entirely satisfied with the colour and shape.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Microblading is a semi-permanent make up technique that creates natural-looking, hair-like strokes to enhance your brows.

A fine needle is used to insert pigment into the very first layer of the skin, creating a crisp hair strokes effect.

Unlike tattooing whereby ink is inserted into the second layer of the skin, microblading is semi-permanent and fades gradually overtime.

  • Typically, microblading lasts between 12 to 18 months, depending on your skin type, lifestyle and dedication to aftercare. To keep your brows looking fresh, we recommend annual touch-ups.

  • Your comfort is our priority. We apply a numbing cream during the treatment to minimise discomfort. Most clients describe the sensation as a light scratching or pressure rather than pain and are surprised that it is no more painful than waxing or tweezing.

  • The healing process takes about 4 to 6 weeks. Initially, your brows will appear darker than expected as the pigment is fresh in the skin, but the colour will soften as they heal. On around the 4th day, mild scabbing and peeling are normal. After 2 weeks your brows will look very faded as if tracing paper is over your skin due to the new collagen being made as the skin heals. After 4 weeks your new brows will be visible again and ready for your 5 - 8 week top up where final adjustments can be made. We’ll provide you with aftercare instructions to ensure the best possible results.

  • A patch test is not needed for microblading as it would involve piercing the skin to introduce pigment.

If you have an allergy to nickel or pigments, we can perform a small patch test behind the ear with a microblade. Contact Cambridge Brow Sanctuary if this is something you would like to have prior to your microblading treatment.

  • On the day
Eat before your treatment to ensure your blood sugar levels are good.
If you have any existing brow makeup or products, please arrive with clean, makeup-free skin if possible.
We also recommend washing your hair on the morning of your treatment as you cannot get your brows wet post treatment.

    24 hours before
For the best results, avoid alcohol, caffeine, blood-thinning medications (aspirin/ibuprofen)

    3 days before
Complete any brow waxing, tinting or tanning.

    2 weeks before
Avoid skin sensitising products of treatments (microdermabrasion, laser, chemical peels, retinol).
Avoid botox, ideally until after your microblading has healed.

Once your appointment is scheduled, reminder emails listing full preparations are shared with you.

  • For best healed results, follow the aftercare advice below:

    DAYS 2-7
    - Apply a THIN layer of healing gel with a cotton bud morning and night

    DAYS 4-14
    - Blot brows gently with a damp cotton pad and sterile water morning and night to avoid blood/lymph build up.

    DO NOT
    - Allow your brows to get wet!
    - Use a washcloth or anything abrasive on your tattoo
    - Pick or scratch at your tattoo
    - Apply any make up on the brow area for at least 3 days. Be careful when applying daily skincare products and make up around the area
    - Exercise or excessively sweat for at least 10 days.

    AVOID
    - Saunas, steam rooms, hot baths/showers, swimming pools or facial treatments for 14 days post treatment or until all scabbing has healed
    - Sun beds and sunbathing for at least 14 days.

Detailed aftercare instructions will be emailed to you post treatment, as well as a healing balm to take home to protect your new brows and promote optimal healing.

  • An initial touch-up is usually recommended 5 - 8 weeks after your first session. After that, yearly maintenance appointments will keep your brows looking their best.
